Account Ownership
Mutual fund companies generally offer two types of accounts to investors:
Nominee Account - When it comes to this type of account, the financial advisor is responsible for account administration, but the owner of the account is the nominee or dealer company.
Client Name Account - While the owner of the account is the investor, their financial advisor is responsible for account administration. For non-registered plans, Renaissance Investments offers the choice of Corporate, Individual, Joint and In-Trust accounts to the investor. For registered plans, Renaissance Investments offers a wide range of Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSPs) and Registered Retirement Income Funds (RRIFs) — both regular and locked-in — and Registered Education Savings Plans (RESPs).
