CIBC Core Fixed Income Pool [Series A]

The Pool will focus on generating regular income with the potential for modest long-term capital appreciation, by investing primarily in units of other mutual funds that invest in fixed income securities.

Distributions:Distributions of net income occur monthly. Distributions of any net realized capital gains occur annually in December. Pre-Authorized Chequing Investment: $50 minimum investment for weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.
Systematic Withdrawal Plan: With minimum initial account value of $10,000. Withdrawals may be made weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually. $50 minimum.

Adam Ditkofsky, CFA

Senior Portfolio Manager, Global Fixed Income

Adam Ditkofsky is one of the firm’s senior portfolio managers, overseeing the Core and Core Plus fixed income team and their mandates. Mr. Ditkofsky has more than 15 years of experience at the firm and managing fixed income portfolios. As part of his role, he specializes in duration management, yield curve positioning, sector allocation and security selection.

Prior to becoming a portfolio manager, in his previous position Mr. Ditkofsky was a Senior Credit Analyst at CIBC Asset Management (CAM), covering both investment grade and high-yield companies across multiple sectors and regions. Prior to joining CAM in 2008, he held the role of Credit Analyst at CIBC World Markets.

Mr. Ditkofsky holds an MBA degree from the University of Western Ontario, and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University. He is also a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Toronto.

As Head of CIBC Asset Management’s Client Portfolio Management team, Aaron Young is responsible for providing strategic leadership on all aspects of the firm’s client portfolio management platform, which covers all asset classes managed by the firm. The client portfolio management team consists of portfolio strategists who help evolve our investment capabilities and represent our clients’ needs in all aspects of the firm’s initiatives.

Prior to rejoining CIBC Asset Management in 2023, Mr. Young was a Portfolio Manager at RPIA on the credit research team. He began his career in the investment industry at CIBC Asset Management in 2010 in institutional client servicing, and as an Associate Client Portfolio Manager with the Fixed Income team.

Mr. Young has published numerous research papers on fixed income, credit, and ESG investing, and has been a featured speaker at many Canadian and global investment forums.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto. Mr. Young is also a CFA charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Toronto.

Duration is defined as the weighted average time to full recovery of principal and interest.

Yield to Maturity (Average YTM)
The percentage rate of return paid on a bond, note or other fixed income security if the investor buys and holds it to its maturity date. The calculation for YTM is based on the coupon rate, length of time to maturity and market price. It assumes that coupon interest paid over the life of the bond will be reinvested at the same rate.
