CIBC Private Infrastructure Fund [Series A]

The Fund seeks to generate attractive, cash flow‑driven returns by primarily investing in private funds that provide exposure to infrastructure and transportation (collectively, the “Underlying Funds” and each, an “Underlying Fund”), as well as in equity and/or debt securities of public issuers in the infrastructure and transportation sectors, cash and/or cash equivalents.

Gitesh has more than 16 years of industry experience. Gitesh holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University and a Civil Engineering degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi. He is also a CFA charterholder.

Pulkit is a Managing Director and Head of the Alternatives Investment Strategy and Solutions (AISS) business within J.P. Morgan Asset Management. In this role, he leverages the firm’s Private Markets and Alternative Solutions groups, which collectively manage more than $460 billion in alternative assets.

Pulkit leads the independent AISS investment team, which is responsible for the product design, portfolio management, and investment research for multi-alternative investment solutions. These solutions span global alternatives, including private real estate, infrastructure, transport, alternative credit, private equity, and public alternatives. He partners with global institutional investors—such as insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, and wealth managers—to construct and manage portfolios utilizing strategic and relative-value investment frameworks.

Additionally, Pulkit serves as the Portfolio Manager for the Alternatives Access Fund, an actively managed Insurance Dedicated Fund (IDF) that invests across both public and private markets. Having founded the private real assets portfolio strategy and solutions business for the firm’s institutional clients, he and the AISS team have successfully advised and guided global clients in deploying over $10 billion across a diversified suite of private and public multi-alternative solutions.

Pulkit chairs the firm’s Multi-Alternatives Investment Committee. He is a CFA and CAIA charterholder. Pulkit holds a B.E. in Civil Engineering from the Delhi College of Engineering and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Executive Director

Shay Schmidt is a portfolio manager of the Alternatives Investment Strategy and Solutions (AISS) team at JPMorgan Asset Management. Shay is responsible for portfolio design and management of discretionary multi-alternatives investment solutions for clients globally, which encompass private infrastructure, transport, real estate, alternative credit, private equity, and public alternatives. She is a voting member of the team’s Investment Committee.

Shay has authored numerous white papers on private market investing and is a frequent speaker and moderator at firm-wide conferences and webinars on alternative markets. Shay is a main contributor to the JPMorgan Asset Management’s flagship publication – the Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions – and is responsible for developing annual alternatives assumptions across real assets and financial alternatives.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2017, Shay was a trading analyst at Wellington Management Group. She received a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Ohio State University and a M.S. in Finance from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Shay is a chartered CFA and CAIA and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
